Lindsey Glova: An Inspiring Salon Business Story

Lindsey Glova is owner and hairstylist at Lindsey Glova Hair Salon in Las Vegas. As a master in hair coloring, Lindsey is very appreciated by her stunning clients. Here’s the story about how she built up her hair salon business. Enjoy! 🙂

1. Who or what inspired you to become a hairstylist, and how did you end up starting your business?

No one particularly inspired me, but I have to tell you that I was always very interested in arts, so I thought I would give a chance to hairdressing, and especially hair coloring. Thankfully it ended up being the ideal profession for me.

2. What were the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business, and how did you overcome them?

I’ve tried to move out of the United States several times, so after I started my business, I had to build a clientele from the ground up more than once. I took advantage of every means of advertisement as possible, worked at any time of the day just to fit my clients’ needs, and I understood that in the beginning, it is possible to lose some money until you become successful.

3. How do you differentiate yourself in the market?

As a business owner and stylist, I truly care for my clients and their wants and needs. I won’t let anyone leave my chair unhappy, and I know it’s hard to find such a stylist.

4. What part of your business are you improving? (branding, clientele, technique, etc.)

I am improving clientele and my advertising methods. I have a full schedule, but I could still make time for new clients. It’s easy to stay in your comfort zone, stop advertising, and stop worrying, but I am trying hard to focus on developing my business.

5. What advice do you have for any new or upcoming hairstylists?

Don’t give up. It’s not easy when you start, and you don’t make tons of money for a little while. It takes time and a lot of patience.

Another advice I could give is to be very flexible with your schedule so that you don’t have to turn anyone away. You only have to impress one client to really jumpstart your business. Referrals are KEY, and word of mouth works incredibly.

6. How is Appointfix helping you?
