Best Battery Optimization settings for using Appointfix app

Due to restrictions from Google, reminders aren’t fully automated anymore under the Basic and Premium plans. One tap is required for each reminder to be sent. We’ll send you a push notification each time you need to tap for sending an SMS reminder, or you can go to Menu → Reminders each morning and send the reminders for the whole day.

We’ve received lately feedback from few of our Android users (on the Basic and Premium plans) that some notifications are not received when they were supposed to. After our investigation, we realised that this is caused by some of the device’s battery optimization features. So we’ve put together this informative article on how to adjust your phone’s settings so the app will work properly.

Android 7.x+ came with new features, like Battery Optimization, Standby Mode, Power Saver Mode, and these features set applications to a complete sleep so they cannot work in background after you close the app. Basically, these optimization apps/settings are killing Appointfix services and the app can’t wake up to send you the notifications that remind you of sending the reminders.

In order to fix this issue, you will need to disable all the optimization settings for Appointfix. Below you will see the steps you need to take, based on the device you are using.

Samsung Series

Open Settings > go to Device Maintenance > Battery > From the upper right corner, tap on the 3 dots > Tap Advanced settings > Disable App power monitor

After this, go back into Battery Settings screen > Tap on Battery Usage > From the upper right corner, tap on the 3 dots > Tap Optimize battery usage > Select “All Apps” > Disable Appointfix.

LG Series

Open Settings > General > Go to Battery & Power Saving > Tap Battery usage > Tap Ignore optimizations > Enable Appointfix setting.

Huawei Series

Open Settings > Tap Apps > Tap Settings > Tap Special access > Tap Ignore optimisations > Tap Appointfix and Allow

Motorola Series

Open Settings > Go to Battery > Tap the Menu icon (located in the upper-right) > Tap Battery optimization > Tap the “Not optimized” dropdown menu (located at the top) > Tap All apps > Tap Appointfix > Select Don’t optimize > Done

Google Series

Open Settings > Tap Battery > Tap the more button on the action bar at the top right, and choose Battery optimization > On the Battery optimization screen, switch to the All apps list from the drop-down to see all of the apps on your device > Tap Appointfix from the menu and choose Don’t optimize to exclude Appointfix from the Doze feature.

OnePlus Series

Open Settings > tap Battery > Tap the more button on the action bar at the top right, and choose Battery optimization > On the Battery optimization screen, switch to the All apps list from the drop-down to see all of the apps on your device > Tap Appointfix from the menu and choose Don’t optimize to exclude Appointfix from the Doze feature.
