Do you work at your clients’ address? We have a surprise!
If you run a business where you go to the customer’s address to do the work, like for example you’re a mobile dog groomer or you have a landscaping business, we have some good news for you. With our latest update, we have introduced a new field in the appointment, LOCATION.
Simply tap the “Add location” link which is situated in the lower area of the appointment’s screen and start typing an address. Once you type 2, 3 letters you’ll see a list of Suggestions. If one of them matches what you wanted to add, just tap on it and it will be added to the appointment along with an image of the map. Alternatively, finish typing the full address and tap the Done button in the upper right area. Just like with services, once you saved an address for a client, we will automatically load the same thing when you create the next appointment with the same person.
The Location field has also been added as a dynamic field in the Message templates. So if your business needs require you to send the address in the messages that get sent to clients, you can now do that. Just head to Menu > Settings > Messages > Pick a message, then tap on Template and from above the keyboard you’ll be able to insert the Location field.
When it’s time to go to the client, just open the appointment and tap on the address or the map and you’ll be able to start navigating to the client. On iOS it opens by default Google Maps and if it’s not installed, it will open Apple Maps. On Android, it will open a picker and you’ll be able to choose a navigation app of your choice.
The address saved in the Location field will also be displayed on the calendar in the Day, 3 Day and Week view modes. This way you’ll be able to easily see where you need to get, right from the calendar.
The update is live in the App Store and Google Play and is available to users on all plans, free or paid. Enjoy!
