How to Integrate your Alexa and Google Home with Appointfix
Apr 12, 2021
Have you ever wondered how much time you spend on creating an appointment on paper or in the app? Well, you may say just a few seconds or a minute. It doesn’t sound much, but if you tally the same action on a day, there are some minutes there, right?
What if I tell you that you can now use your voice to create an appointment or your ears to listen to your schedule. Imagine you have an assistant, but it is a virtual assistant. Sounds cool, doesn’t it?
Our goal at Appointfix is to make your life easier by helping you manage your appointments and reduce no-shows. We love your feedback, and it helps us improve Appointfix every month; therefore, we took a step forward, and a new integration is available.
Many of you requested an easier way to create appointments, and we’ve introduced the “Voice recognition” feature. From now on, you can ask Amazon Echo (Alexa) or Google Home (Google Assistant) to create your appointment or to read your schedule.
How to set up integration
Once the app is downloaded and you signed in using your Amazon account, you will need to follow the instructions below:
If you already have an Amazon account, you will need to sign in using your credentials, but if you don’t have an account, tap on Create Account.
Type your name, email address, and a secure password. Once you tapped on Create Account, a security code will be sent to your email address, and you will need to add it to your account to verify the email address.
Now, select the country you live in and tap on Continue. You reach the final step to which you can set up your Amazon Echo device.
You are almost done. Now, you have to give Amazon permissions to access your calendars and contacts. This permission is requested if you would like to create appointments using your voice.
Now, your account is set. The final step is to link your Appointfix account to Alexa.
From the bottom right part of the screen, tap on More > Skills and Games > Discover. Tap on the search icon and search for Appointfix.
Tap on Appointfix. A screen will appear with Appointfix information. Tap on the Launch button, and you will need to add your Appointfix credentials. Now, you are ready to use your first voice commands.
You can say Alexa, open Appointfix. Alexa will tell you some commands you can say in the beginning. Or you can say, Alexa, Ask Appointfix what’s on my schedule today.

After that, from the upper left corner and tap on the + icon to add your Google Assistant device.
Tap on Set up device > New device > Introduce your address and let the app search for the Google Home device. Once the device is found, tap on the next button to connect with the device and follow the instructions from the app.
After the device is configured, you will need to activate the voice match.
The speaker is ready. Now you can configure the device with Appointfix.
You can say, “Hey Google, Talk To Appointfix.” Google will ask you for permission to link your Appointfix account. A new screen will appear, and you will need to introduce your Appointfix credentials.
Once the Appointfix is linked, you are all set. You can say: Hey Google, Ask Appointfix to read my schedule.
